The city crew will continue to pick up debris along curbside through this week. There is a lot to pick up and only three of them - please be patient!

If you would like it removed before they can get to your property you may haul to the city dump located at the west end of Walnut Street. Please remember this is a brush dump only.

The Families First of Marshall County are selling raffle tickets to win your child, a child you know, or teacher/school staff, a ride on the last day of school in a Police or Fire Truck! Tickets are available at the Waterville City Office and are $1.00 a ticket or $5.00 for six tickets. Winners will be drawn May 10, 2018. Good Luck!

The City of Waterville will be accepting sealed bids at the City Office on a 2000 Ford F550 XL Telelect HyRanger HR37M Bucket Truck, mileage under 20,000. Bids are due in the Waterville City Office, 136 E. Commercial Street, by February 9. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. For more information contact Chuck at 785-562-7485.

Thanks Chief Vermetten!
Lieutenant Caleb Acree and Captain Tom Bronaugh, representing the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department, presented Chief Mike Vermetten with a certificate of appreciation for actions taken on July 11, 2017. Vermetten and Ryan Woodyard were traveling to Topeka on I-70 and witnessed a vehicle leave the road and strike a Shawnee County sheriff’s deputy and his K-9 partner who were observing traffic. Vermetten and Woodyard stopped and immediately helped the Sergeant and his K-9 partner on the scene.
