ORDINANCE NO. 641
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATES AND CHARGES FOR ELECTRICITY FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF WATERVILLE, MARSHALL COUNTY KANSAS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 626 shall be amended to read as follows.
Section 2. That the rates for Residential electric service shall be as set forth:
MONTHLY RATE:
Monthly Customer Charge of $24.00 per month
All kWh: $0.080/kWh per month
Section 3. All bills are subject to a monthly Energy Cost Adjustment (ECA).
Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon publication in the Waterville Telegraph.
Section 6. Monthly ECA FORMULA SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS.
The rate for energy to which this adjustment is applicable shall be adjusted by $.0001 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in the aggregate cost of energy as computed by the following formula:
([(P + O)/(K)] x L) - (B) = Adjustment
WHEREAS:
P = The current month actual total cost of power purchased.
O = The current month actual total cost of any other associated power supply expenses.
K = The current month actual total kWh of the delivered purchased power.
L = The current City losses determined annually ((Purchased Power-City Billed)/City Billed).
B = The Base will be established at $0.05/kWh.

ORDINANCE NO. 642
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATES AND CHARGES FOR ELECTRICITY FOR SINGLE PHASE AND THREE PHASE DEMAND METERS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF WATERVILLE, MARSHALL COUNTY KANSAS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 627 shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2. From and after October 22, 2015, the rates per kWh for electrical current billed for single phase and three phase meters shall be the following:
Single Phase Commercial Charges:
All kWh: $0.09/kWh per month
Three Phase Commercial Charges:
First 2,000 kWh: $0.065/kWh per month
Next 2,000 kWh: $0.06/kWh per month
Excess kWh: $0.055/kWh per month
Demand Charge:
Demand Charge- $10.50/kW
Transformer Charge:
Less than 100 KVA: $15 per month
100 to 300 KVA: $30 per month
Greater than 300 KVA: $45 per month
Section 4. All bills are subject to a fuel adjustment increase or decrease which varies monthly.
Section 5. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances conflicting herewith are repealed.
ORDINANCE NO. 676
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 648 AND PROVIDING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE FURNISHED BY THE CITY OF WATERVILLE, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF WATERVILLE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 648 is repealed and the following section providing the rates for water used after December 19, 2022 is substituted.
INSIDE CITY LIMITS: Minimum charge per water meter $21.50 per month. Each 100 gallons at .25 cents.
OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS: Minimum charge per water meter $24.30 per month. Each 100 gallons at .30 cents.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon publication in the official city paper.

ORDINANCE NO. 683
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 677 AND PROVIDING SEWER CHARGES FOR THE USE OF THE SANITARY SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF WATERVILLE, KANSAS.
SECTION 1. Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Ordinance No. 677 are repealed and the following sections providing the rates for sewer service are substituted.
SECTION 2. All Residential Users. Minimum charge per residential sewer user per month $31.50. Each 1,000 gallons of average winter water, 50 cents per 1,000 gallons.
SECTION 3. All Rural Users. Minimum charge per rural sewer user per month $41.50. Each 1,000 gallons of average winter water 75 cents per 1,000 gallons.
SECTION 4. All Commercial and Industrial Users. Minimum charge per commercial and industrial sewer user per month $31.50. Each 1,000 gallons of average winter water, 75 cents per 1,000 gallons.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon publication in the official city paper.
