Big Weekend Planned!

The City of Waterville will be full of exciting things to do Saturday, September 12! The Waterville Fire Department will be having their 'Smoke Off' as a fundraiser for the new firehouse, the Marshall County Railroad Historical Society will be having 'Wild West Day', and there will be bicyclists riding through town for a 'Gravel Dash'.

The day begins with the Lions Club serving a pancake breakfast 8 - 11 a.m. Wild West Day will include rail rides from 9 - 3 p.m., a model train exhibit, plainsmen and trappers encampment, the saloon with sarsaparilla and music, a flea market, food vendors, wagon rides, a bank robbery, and children's games.

The fire department Smoke Off will begin at noon and include a car show, meat smoke off, ladderball tournament, beer garden, music, motor blow up, bounce house, games for the children, a gun raffle, and supper will be served at 5 p.m.
