The City of Waterville is celebrating Public Power Week this week. Kansas Power Pool treated the city crew and staff to a pizza lunch Thursday after their monthly safety meeting. Spreading the word of the celebration included signs, social media posts, and hosting a food drive for the new Blessing Box.
Robert Seleska and Matt Umscheid attended Kansas Municipal Utilities 2021 Electric Distribution Overhead Workshop last week. They are taking many electric courses this year!
Solid Waste Removal
The City Council adopted Resolution 21-2; a resolution establishing rules and regulations regarding solid waste within the city limits at the regular council meeting July 12, 2021. Beginning on August 3, Gunn's Disposal of Blue Rapids will be collecting all residential solid waste within the city limits of Waterville. Pick up will be every Tuesday morning each week. The fee will be $20.50 and will be billed each month on all residential customers utility bills. Resolution 21-2 is posted on this site.
