Richard Holgren's Comedy Show will entertain the entire family at the Waterville Opera House Sunday, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to be hypnotized! Free will donation at the door, children 12 and under will be admitted free.

Lieutenant Caleb Acree and Captain Tom Bronaugh, representing the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department, presented Chief Mike Vermetten with a certificate of appreciation for actions taken on July 11, 2017. Vermetten and Ryan Woodyard were traveling to Topeka on I-70 and witnessed a vehicle leave the road and strike a Shawnee County sheriff’s deputy and his K-9 partner who were observing traffic. Vermetten and Woodyard stopped and immediately helped the Sergeant and his K-9 partner on the scene.
